Northern NSW sought to review roles and responsibilities between itself and the Member zone, ensuring they were aligned on capabilities and delivery of service for the football community.
Northern NSW Football is responsible for football in the Northern North South Wales region. Within the region, there are multiple Member Zones which help develop and deliver football programs within their respective geographies.
As part of a strategic plan and ambition, Northern NSW sought to review roles and responsibilities between itself and the Member zone, ensuring they were aligned on capabilities and delivery of service for the football community.
Our Solution
Gemba was engaged to support Northern NSW Football to consult with each of the Member Zones.
Gemba was engaged to support Northern NSW Football to consult with each of the Member Zones. The aim was to understand their perspectives on the ideal split of roles and responsibilities, and the level of service Northern NSW Football should be providing to the Member Zones. This included identifying common needs, core responsibilities and aligning on areas where Northern NSW Football could play a bigger role. The consultation involved navigating competing interests and a challenging political landscape. This culminated in a strategy day between the Member Zones and Northern NSW Football to co-develop a high-level governance framework and guiding principles to ensure greater alignment and coordination.
