About Me
Outside of P.E. in school and the long hours spent playing outside at home, my first memory of watching professional sport was with my older brother; siding with whatever team was opposing his Brisbane Broncos and constantly asking "what does that mean?" after each ref call. Admittedly, this is still a question I ask a lot as my love for watching different sports grows and continues to consume my weekend plans (and now, those of my friends).
Prior to working at Gemba, I used my Bachelors degrees in Creative Advertising and Marketing to head the Marketing team at Go Media - a New Zealand based Outdoor Advertising company that sponsored just about everything you could imagine within sports, arts, culture and charity. This is where my passion for people, culture and sport blossomed.
Aside from repeating "Up the Wahs" at any given moment, you'll find me exploring local markets around Melbourne, catching up on MasterChef or curled up with a good book next to my cavoodle, Harley.
I'm thrilled to be starting my new chapter in Australia with a role at Gemba, welcoming all opportunities to grow and learn more in the sports entertainment industry.
Day in the Life
6:10am – Wake up just before my alarm. Die inside.
6:15am – Embrace my extra 5 minutes sleep before getting up and starting my day.
6:30am – Take Harley out for a wee so he can earn his morning treat (if this step is skipped, all hell will break loose).
6:45am – shower, stress about what to wear, repeat same work outfit, have breakfast etc.
8am – Airpods in and out the door to take the train into work.
8:10am – Attempt to complete Wordle and Connections. This will make or break my day.
8.20am – Walk into the office and check if anyone noticed that I once again tried to push open the door instead of pull. Absolute rookie.
8.35am – Check calendar for the day ahead and emails, begin writing to-do-list #1
9.00am – Live la vida loca, juggling the Cricket, Motorsports, Tamworth Country Music Festival and Adelaide Crows accounts for Toyota.
12:30pm – Lunch with a side of the NYT Mini Daily Crossword
1:30pm – Check Spotify daylist and rewrite to-do-list for the rest of the day
3.30pm – Juggling continues until it gets to about 5:25pm
5:25: Timesheets, of course
5.30pm – Check what’s on the agenda for tomorrow and basically rinse and repeat
6pm – Walk/feed Harley, go to the gym, watch Masterchef while making dinner, shower, doom scroll or read a book, then go to sleep
