About Me
Following university, I’ve perused a career in research. I’m a naturally inquisitive person and LOVE digging into data to understand attitudes, behaviours, and discovering the ‘why’ for clients. I’ve previously worked on a real mix of qualitative and quantitative projects - from online ethnography to quantitative tracking and segmentation analysis. I have spent half of my career so far doing B2C research and the other half doing B2B research for corporate communication strategy across many industry sectors and clients. The chance to combine my love for Sport and Entertainment really is a dream come true!
Sport has been my lifelong passion, as a result I’ve pretty much tried everything; gymnastics, football, netball, athletics, rowing, skiing, surfing, the list goes on!
Long-distance running has emerged as my latest pursuit, introducing fresh challenges to my life.
Outside of doing sport, I am passionate about Women's football; from a fan perspective and an advocate for the growth of Women’s sport, I’m excited to watch the game grow in England and the rest of the world.
Day in the Life
6am – Alarm goes off. Coffee time. Check Sky News and Sky Sports apps to connect with what’s going on in the world. My favourite time of the day
6:45am – Feeling more awake after my first caffeine hit. Running shoes on, it’s time to run into the office a 13KM is on the cards today, a scenic route through Battersea Park, along the river Thames and finish off with a loop of Hyde Park
8:45am – The runners high has hit, I’m feeling excited and motivated for the day ahead! Sit down at my desk with a coffee whilst checking through any overnight emails and setting up my to do list for the day. I split this out by morning / afternoon tasks and map out where my chunk of free time is. Today between 2pm-4pm is call free, so I have mapped this out as ‘focus time’
9:00am – Time to pick out an interesting headline article to read from the sports world, anything relating to the WSL or Newcastle United usually grabs my attention. This morning it was a piece in The Athletic around the PIF investment into Newcastle United and Newcastle city centre and the expansion plan for St James Park and get excited about the clubs future (I’m a Newcastle fan if you haven’t already guessed it)
9:30am – After a quick read, it’s time to attack my first ‘to do’ on the list
10am – Crack on! I’m definitely a morning person, so I will always try to start the most complex piece of work first, the one that requires the most brain power. But today I’m call heavy in the morning, so will get onto analysing Gemba Europe Property insights later this afternoon
1pm – Lunch time already! I always try and get out of the office for a quick 10-minute walk to clear my head and get some fresh air. Then I’ll reconvene in the kitchen and have lunch whilst chatting to the team
2pm – It’s time to check back to my to-do list and see if I’m on track. I usually re-assess what is a priority for EOD and swap around some tasks to tomorrow morning if needed
5:30pm – Making sure I’m caught up on my admin for the day, check that all emails are answered and review my calendar for tomorrow
6pm – Time to head home! I have some energy left so heading to the gym for a quick weights sesh
8:30pm – Aaaaand chill. TV time followed by getting stuck into my most recent book ‘The Unstoppable Rise of Women's Sport’ before heading to bed
