About Me
When reminiscing about my fondest childhood memories, they invariably revolve around sport. Whether it’s trying to get a kick on a brisk Melbourne Sunday morning at footy, excruciatingly long commutes to basketball on a Friday night, or sitting with family on the outer wing at the G supporting the hawks, my involvement and genuine love for sport is profound.
With a background in Marketing and Human Resource management from an education sense, I was always looking for an avenue to utilise these capabilities in a sports and entertainment capacity, so Gemba was a no-brainer.
On a typical weekend if I’m not on the football or cricket field, you’ll find me either cooking, trying new restaurants around Melbourne, or the golf course.
Day in the Life
6:45am – Unwillingly roll out of bed and head to the gym before some breakfast and a coffee.
8:00am – Catch train into work with a Huberman Lab podcast ready to go and eagerly checking to see how the Aussies faired in the Cricket and Golf overnight
8:30am – Concluding stages of the commute are spent working through any urgent emails that have come through overnight
9:00am – Arrive at work, say hi to the team, then trawl through remaining emails to ascertain how to best attack the day and where the priorities lie
10:00am – Liaise with senior leaders providing updates on where we’re at with various resourcing projects
12:30pm – Lunch, most likely a chicken baguette
1:30pm – Head down and reply to the many messages that come through via LinkedIn, Careers Inbox, and Website
3:00pm – Break up the day with a short walk to grab some afternoon caffeine
5:00pm – Touch base with the Senior Leaders over in the UK to make sure all processes are running smoothly and timelines are adhered to
6:00pm – Begin the commute home and map out a cost effective, low mess dinner option, often some form of curry
8:00pm – Briefly log back on, touch base with international applicants, relay takeaways to the hiring managers before wrapping up and doing it all again!
