About Me
I have been described as nosy which believe it or not, insights is the perfect career for a nosy person. I have always been so interested and curious about why people do the things they do. Born and bred in Sydney, I have worked in the industry for nearly 10 years across agency and publisher side. I have worked across a variety different categories, from auto, beauty, health care, travel to sport (just to name a few). What lured me to Gemba was the great culture and the dynamic nature of sport and entertainment.
Unlike my colleagues, I dabble lightly in sport. I loved netball, tennis and the Sydney Roosters growing up. These days my love of sport is more Taylor Swift’s boyfriend (Travis Kelce), Superbowl Halftime Show, Welcome to Wrexham and the Beckham documentary. I love music and reading. I will often spend my weekends looking for new vinyl for my record collection or browsing a bookstore for my next read.
Day in the Life
7:30am – Crawl out of bed after snoozing my alarm and get ready, try to look sporty for the office.
8:15am – Make a coffee to-go for the bus ride into work.
8:30am – Arrive at the office, straight to the kitchen for a peppermint tea – need to stay hydrated! Check my calendar and emails for the day.
8:45am – WIP meeting with the Insights team to catch up and talk about what we’ve got on for the day, half our team is based in Melbourne, so we usually kick off with a chat about the weather.
9:00am – Officially ready to start the day after writing my to-do list. I will usually do my bigger reports in the morning, today it's Media Effectiveness.
12:30pm – This rounds me out for lunch - Mondays are the best because Matty Tan will do his lunchtime quiz.
1:30pm – Do some admin, including emails, checking reports, testing links – all those fun things!
3:00pm – Teatime!
3:15pm – Check in on the team, make sure I’m ticking off my to-do list and everything is on track to be delivered.
5:00pm – Time to do time sheets and send any more emails off for the day so I am ready to start fresh for tomorrow.
5:30pm – Log off! Walk home to get my steps up. Ready to do it all again tomorrow!
